About Real Food List

Independent guidance for finding better food

I created Real Food List after experiencing how difficult it can be to verify terms such as grass-fed, pasture-raised, wild-caught and organic when shopping online—especially after moving to Thailand.

What “real food” means here

The directory focuses on useful options for grass-fed and pasture-based meat, responsibly sourced seafood, eggs, organic produce and minimally processed foods. Inclusion means a store offers relevant options; it does not mean every item in its catalogue meets the same standard.

“Organic,” “grass-fed,” “grass-finished,” “free-range,” “pasture-raised,” “natural” and “sustainable” are not synonyms. Real Food List is not a certification body, so shoppers should verify the specific claim that matters to them.

How listings are evaluated

  1. 1. Relevance The store must offer products useful to real-food shoppers in its stated delivery area.
  2. 2. Transparency Clear sourcing, farm, producer, certification and delivery information count in a store’s favour.
  3. 3. Practical usefulness Availability, ordering experience, delivery coverage and value matter alongside ideals.
  4. 4. Ongoing verification Offers and store details are dated where possible and corrected when reliable new information arrives.

First-hand experience and sources

First-hand observations are identified as such. Vendor sourcing and product claims should be attributed to the vendor or another primary source. When direct experience is not available, listings are intended as researched shortlists rather than personal endorsements.

Product ranges, prices, promotions and delivery terms change frequently. Always confirm important details on the seller’s site before purchasing.

Affiliate disclosure

Some links are affiliate links. If you order through one, Real Food List may receive a commission or referral credit at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not guarantee inclusion, featured placement, or a positive description. Commercial links are labeled on the page.
